About

Rosie Livingstone had a sleep-deprived childhood reading by torchlight under the bedclothes in late twentieth century Britain.

She holds a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from Trinity College, Oxford, and an MA (with Distinction) in Creative Writing: Poetry from the University of East Anglia. Around 20 of her poems have been published in magazines in the UK, South Africa, and Canada.

She worked as a journalist in South Africa in the 1990s, during the heady days of Nelson Mandela’s release from prison, the dismantling of apartheid, and the country’s first democratic elections; then as a mental health mentor in the UK. She is also trained to offer spiritual accompaniment for individuals or groups.

Home – since 2024 and for the foreseeable future – is the mid-Atlantic archipelago of the Azores. This peaceful environment is conducive to the writing life, and a completed first novel manuscript is itching to find its way off her laptop into the embrace of a publisher.
